Warranty

Every new Pocket NC sold by CycleCNC carries TWO warranty layers: the 1-year Penta Machine factory warranty on the hardware itself, and the 6-month CycleCNC EU warranty (per our AGB §8(3)(e)) covering EU-specific support and logistics. In practice they stack so you have comprehensive coverage through year one and beyond.

Layer 1: Penta Machine factory warranty (1 year)

Direct from Penta Machine Co., Bozeman, Montana — the manufacturer:

  • Defects in materials and workmanship on all major sub-assemblies (frame, spindle cartridges, servos, control electronics)
  • Spindle bearing failures under normal operation
  • Software issues with Kinetic Control firmware
  • Manufacturing-related kinematic calibration drift on new machines

Penta covers parts. Shipping for warranty replacements is handled by CycleCNC from our Köln stock (same-day for routine items) — no transatlantic round-trip needed for EU customers.

Layer 2: CycleCNC EU distribution warranty (6 months, AGB §8(3)(e))

Covers everything specific to the EU distribution path:

  • CE compliance / EU-spec power adapter / emergency-stop wiring
  • EU customs and VAT pre-clearance issues (extremely rare)
  • Köln-stock parts availability for routine spares
  • EN/DE/FR language support for warranty claims
  • On-site visit to your facility if remote diagnosis can't resolve the issue (within Germany; EU outside DE quoted separately)

What's NOT covered

  • Wear items — endmills, ER-11 collets, way covers under normal use, drive belts past rated life
  • Damage from improper use — running tool diameters or feeds beyond rated capacity, ignoring documented safety limits
  • Damage from environment — water ingress, dust beyond IP-rated limits, electrical surges from non-conditioned mains
  • Third-party modifications — non-Penta-approved spindle swaps, controller replacements, fixtures rigidly bolted to the machine frame
  • Flood coolant ingress — the machines aren't designed for flood coolant; running it voids both warranty layers

How to claim

  1. Email sales@cyclecnc.com with your order number, machine serial number, and a description of the issue.
  2. For mechanical issues, attach photos or a short video clip showing the symptom.
  3. For software/calibration issues, attach a Kinetic Control log export.
  4. We respond within 1 working day. Routine claims resolve with a spare-parts shipment from Köln (same-day for orders before 14:00 CET). Complex issues route to Penta Machine factory engineering.

Extended coverage via maintenance contract

The annual maintenance contract extends comprehensive coverage indefinitely — scheduled inspection, calibration, way-cover replacement, software updates, consumables. €1,000/year for V2-10, €1,500/year for V2-50.

Penta Extended Warranty add-on
