Why the V2-50
The V2-50 is the precision-work variant of the Pocket NC family. The 50,000 RPM NSK spindle delivers the cutting speeds needed for sub-1 mm tooling, harder alloys, and surface finishes that justify the price step over the V2-10. Two spindle variants:
- V2-50 CHB — NRR-2651 NSK spindle (the original V2-50 — quick-change lever; CHB collets in 1/8″, 3 mm, 4 mm)
- V2-50 CHK — NR-2551 NSK spindle (newer variant — wrench-based collet-nut system; CHK collets in 1/8″, 1/4″, 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm)

FAQ
CHB or CHK — which one?
Both have identical kinematics and accept the same range of tooling diameters. The CHB system uses a quick-change lever for tool changes, eliminating the need for wrenches — faster tool changes, but it compromises tool grip. The CHK system requires wrenches for tool changes, which slows the process slightly but results in better tool grip and therefore higher material-removal rates. Can it cut titanium and Inconel?
Yes — within the same G5 titanium hardness limit as the V2-10, but the 50,000 RPM spindle makes higher surface speeds practical, which is what makes harder alloys actually productive. See the forum for verified toolpath parameters from real customers.
What's the shop-air requirement?
1 gallon per minute at 25 psi. A standard 50 L compressor with regulator handles it easily. Air regulator and fittings included.
