Specifications
What materials can the Pocket NC cut?
The machine cuts materials up to G5 titanium hardness. Optimal materials are Delrin, aluminium, brass, plastics, and softer steels — these run at full feedrate with minimal tool wear. Hardened steel, Inconel, and titanium are possible with conservative chip loads and the right toolpath strategies.
What's the work envelope?
- X-axis travel: 4.55″ / 115.5 mm
- Y-axis travel: 5.00″ / 128.3 mm
- Z-axis travel: 3.55″ / 90.1 mm
- 5-axis modes: 3+2 indexing or full simultaneous 5-axis
What's the spindle?
- V2-10: ER11 collet system, 10,000 RPM
- V2-50 CHB: NRR-2651 NSK spindle — 50,000 RPM (the original V2-50)
- V2-50 CHK: NR-2551 NSK spindle — 50,000 RPM, accepts 1/8″ collet
Both V2-50 variants require shop air at 1 gallon/min @ 25 psi (regulator + fittings included).
Repeatability?
±0.005 mm with regular calibration. ±0.0025 mm achievable under temperature-controlled conditions on the V2-50 with ceramic-hybrid bearings.
Practical questions
Do I need 3-phase power?
No — standard 230 V single-phase, under 800 W draw. Any normal EU wall socket works.
Do I need compressed air?
V2-50 (both CHB and CHK) requires shop air at 1 gpm @ 25 psi for the spindle. The V2-10 runs without compressed air. Air regulator/fittings/cleaning kit included with V2-50 purchase.
Is it noisy?
Below 75 dB at 1 m during normal operation. Audible but not loud — office-floor placement is feasible with a simple enclosure.
What's in the box?
Machine + extended-reach tool holder + 1/8″ ER11 collet + Datron 3 mm single-flute end mill + Pocket NC vise with hardware + 2″ wax cube + USB cable + power cord + Simulator access. V2-50 also includes air regulator, fittings, and cleaning kit.

Warranty?
1-year Penta Machine factory warranty covers manufacturing defects on the machine itself. 6 months CycleCNC EU warranty (per AGB §8(3)(e)) stacks on top, covering EU-specific parts logistics and support. In practice, contracted maintenance customers see warranty-style support throughout the first year of normal use.
